Guidelines for Presenters

GUIDELINES FOR PRESENTERS IAPS 2012

The organizing committee is very pleased that you will be presenting at this year’s IAPS conference.

Below follow some guidelines and reminders to facilitate presentations.

  • If you will be using a PowerPoint or a computer, please make the necessary arrangements to load your presentation and ensure compatibility of equipment before your scheduled session. Our computers work with Windows 7 and Office 2010. We kindly ask you to deliver your presentation by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . You can also deliver your presentation at the Author’s Ready Room in the conference venue the day before your presentation at the latest, where you can test it as well.

  • If you use an Apple laptop, please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

  • Look for and introduce yourself to the chair (he or she will also be looking for you also). Tell them how to pronounce your name (some of us have challenging names!).

  • Presentations this year will be 30 minutes long. We encourage you to plan for about10 minutes of discussion (it always end up being a bit less).   Chairs will let you know how they will notify you when you are closing on 20 minutes.

  • It is your responsibility to finish on time—your help is needed to ensure that all presenters have their allotted time and that attendees can move between sessions while minimizing disruption.

  • Enjoy this chance to share your work with your peers!

Thank you again for presenting at IAPS!
